Not medical advice
The content on this site is for general information. It is not a substitute for advice from a clinician who knows your health history.
Results vary
Results differ from person to person. No result or timeline is promised, and no verified reviews are published yet.
Who it is for
Sciatica PRO is for adults 18 and older. It is not for children. Read the label before use.
Medicines
Do not take more than the label says unless a clinician tells you to. It is for adults 18 and older.
Sciatica is a medical condition
Sciatica PRO is a dietary supplement named after a medical condition. It is not a treatment for sciatica, for a herniated disc, for spinal stenosis or for neuropathy of any kind, and nothing on this website should be read as saying otherwise. Never stop or change prescribed treatment for nerve pain because of a supplement. Some symptoms need urgent medical care, and they are listed on our sciatica guide.
When to see a doctor before taking Sciatica PRO
Sciatica PRO is a dietary supplement, not a treatment for sciatica, a slipped disk, spinal stenosis or any nerve condition, and it does not replace a medicine you take. It is for adults 18 and over. The situations below call for a doctor before the first capsule, and the first of them calls for one today.
Get help today
Loss of control over urine or stool; numbness or weakness in the buttocks, thighs, legs or pelvis, including the groin and inner thighs; or leg weakness that is getting worse. MedlinePlus lists these as reasons to contact a provider right away (MedlinePlus, “Sciatica”). If you cannot reach your doctor quickly, go to an emergency department or call 911. Do not wait to see whether a supplement helps.
Back pain after an injury, or with a fever
Pain that starts after a hard fall, a crash or a sports injury, and back pain with an unexplained fever, should be seen by a doctor promptly (MedlinePlus, “Low back pain - acute”).
Diabetes medicine
Alpha lipoic acid can lower blood sugar, so taking it with insulin or another glucose-lowering medicine needs your prescriber’s agreement first (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, “Alpha-Lipoic Acid”). Ashwagandha may also interact with diabetes medicines (National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, “Ashwagandha”).
Blood thinners
Turmeric may raise the risk of bleeding in people taking warfarin or other blood thinners (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, “Turmeric”). Sciatica PRO holds 25 mg of turmeric powder, a small amount, but the question still belongs with your doctor.
Thyroid medicine, sedatives and other prescriptions
NCCIH notes that ashwagandha might interact with thyroid hormone medicines, sedatives, anti-seizure drugs, blood pressure medicines and immunosuppressants, and does not recommend it for people with thyroid or autoimmune disorders (National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, “Ashwagandha”).
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
NCCIH advises avoiding ashwagandha during pregnancy and not using it while breastfeeding, and the Sciatica PRO label asks pregnant or nursing women to consult a physician before any supplement.
Vitamin B6 from every source
The adult upper limit for vitamin B6 is 100 mg a day from food, drinks and supplements combined, and high supplement doses taken for a year or longer can cause severe nerve damage (NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, “Vitamin B6”). Count the B6 in every product you take.
Numbness, tingling or burning that is new
Nerve symptoms have many causes, including diabetes, vitamin B12 deficiency and too much vitamin B6, and blood tests can find several of them (NINDS, “Peripheral Neuropathy”). A diagnosis comes before a supplement.
A reaction you did not expect
Stop taking Sciatica PRO and phone your doctor. Serious reactions can also be sent to the FDA’s Safety Reporting Portal (FDA, “How to Report a Problem with Dietary Supplements”).
Numbness, tingling, burning or weakness that is new or getting worse should be checked by a clinician before you try any supplement, Sciatica PRO included.
What “clinically studied ingredients” means here
The phrase is printed on the bottle. It refers to the ingredients, not to Sciatica PRO itself: no trial of this product exists. The trials behind its three best-known ingredients were run mainly in diabetic peripheral neuropathy, not sciatica, and no studies are cited on the label or in the seller’s material.
Badges
Badges shown on this site describe the factory, the ingredients or the refund policy. “FDA-registered facility” describes the factory; it does not mean the FDA approved the product, and no supplement is FDA approved. On this product the “vegetarian” and “dairy free” badges do check out against the label; “scientifically formulated” names nobody and cannot be checked.
